LMS Home Page redesign

Problem: Inkling’s former home page was not useful.

Solution: Redesign the home page to be something all customers need.

Customers often asked if their “home page” could just be our library page, due to low usage of the default home page that Inkling provided (10% of all customers actually wanted the old home page as their default home page). Because of this, and after listening to our customers needs, we chose to re-do the Home Page, from what it was (at left)…

…to this! We added things users would actually want to see, including their in-progress courses, featured content that HQ wants them to see, and recently viewed documents.

73% of users reported they found their desired place to go faster than they did with the old home page. 80% of customers immediately decided to make this their new default home page, with the remaining 15% choosing to do so a few months after launch.

We tested with mobile web extensively, making sure it made sense and it flowed well from our desktop version.
